The South Cleveland Heart Fund is a local heart charity run by volunteers and has been going for 25 years. They raise awareness and generate funds for the cardiology department at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, by organising charity events and campaigns in the area.

The Fund helps the heart unit purchase extra equipment and provide essential support to the unit, patients and their families. Through selling branded stock at charity events, the Heart Fund has accomplished so much – including reaching a £1m target for the upgrade of a MRI scanner!

They have a voluntary committee that runs the fund, and have meetings once a month at the hospital. If you’re interested in helping the South Cleveland Heart Fund with their vital work, they’d love to hear from you.
