NE Volume Music Bar, based in Stockton-on-Tees town centre, has had a major layout change that will significantly improve ticket buyers’ gig experience.

Following the takeover of the former Musiclounge venue in 2020, owners Lee and Adam Allcock had always planned to move the awkwardly placed stage from the centre of the venue to the back of the room. The pandemic dampened those plans but, finally, the major refurb work has now taken place and the venue has been completely transformed.

Gig-goers can now expect to be welcomed by a separate seating area at the front, with the bar perfectly located in the centre of the venue, with space for 100-120 standing music fans in front of the stage.

Co-owner Lee Allcock, who is also the owner of North East music and culture magazine, NE Volume, says, “Not only has the refurb improved the experience for gig-goers, but it has significantly improved the experience for the bands and solo artists too. No longer will there be people sat or stood awkwardly behind the stage.”

NE Volume Music Bar hosts three gigs every week (Thu, Fri and Sat) and supports local artists and touring bands.
