Looking for some family fun this autumn? Fully Booked Theatre are making a new show with two wild and woolly creatures that need YOUR help to learn how to hug for the very first time!
In the show, How Long is a Piece of String?, String and Strong just can’t get along, but hopefully children and families in the North East will be able to teach them how in this new interactive show. The show uses interactive technology to get kids involved, recording their voices as they enter the theatre space to add to the musical score.
With costumes and set designed by National Theatre costume designer Emily Rose Spreadborough, and writing by Harry Man, the show promises to be a colourful adventure that gets friends and families reacquainted in real life.
Jennifer Essex, the show’s choreographer says, “I can’t wait to share this beautiful show about the power of friendship. The performers are just incredible and make me laugh everyday with the wonderful characters they’ve created in Strong and Strong. I’m also really excited about the interactive musical score that has been designed by Emily Spreadborough and our composer Jovana Backovic. It really feels like magic!”
Tickets are now on sale for performances across the North East:
3rd October (Hartlepool Borough Hall)
19th December (Saltburn Community Theatre)
21st-22nd December (Dance City Newcastle)
