The return of one of the North East’s most popular music festivals has been announced for Easter Saturday, 16th April 2022; Stockton Calling will take over eleven of Stockton’s music venues and clubs in a day where over eighty bands will perform.

The all-day multi-venue music festival, presented by ARC, KU Promotions, and Tees Music Alliance, has built a reputation for showcasing some of the best up and coming bands from across the UK alongside bigger names with the likes of We Are Scientists, Blossoms, Field Music, The Futureheads, and Sea Power all appearing in previous years.

Eleven stages have been confirmed including the festival’s core venues which will see two stages at ARC, two stages at KU, and stages at The Georgian Theatre, The Green Room, and The Storytellers, alongside old favourite, The Vault and three new venues for 2022.

New stages this year include NE Volume Music Bar, The LINK at Stockton Globe and Sticky’s – all fresh additions to the Stockton music scene since Stockton Calling last hit the town in 2019.

“…it’s looking like it’ll be a cracker of a day and we can’t wait.”

Festival co-organiser Jimmy Beck

The festival returns after two years of enforced cancellations due to the COVID pandemic, but the organisers are positive about what the future holds for the festival.

Festival co-organiser Jimmy Beck says, “Everyone is aware of why we haven’t been around for two years but it’s really important for us all as organisers to pick up where we left off and move the festival forward in a really positive way. We’re delighted with the way things are going and the enthusiasm everyone is showing for us returning next Easter – it’s looking like it’ll be a cracker of a day and we can’t wait.”

Tickets for the festival are on sale via the Stockton Calling website www.stocktoncalling.co.uk, and via the DICE App. Tickets can also be purchased via ARC’s Box Office in person or by calling 01642 525199.
