Diwali in Middlesbrough is taking place on Saturday 6th November, Middlesbrough for the very first time.

Middlesbrough’s first Diwali festival will now be held indoors in light of strong winds predicted over the weekend.

The event will take place in Middlesbrough Town Hall from noon to 5pm on Saturday (November 6th).

Event Producer, Kash Patel said: “Although it is with regret that we cannot deliver the festival outdoors in Centre Square the way we had intended, the health and safety of the general public and all the staff and volunteers working on this event is our top priority.

“Luckily, rather than cancel altogether, we have managed to repurpose Diwali in Middlesbrough into the Town Hall where I’m sure we can all still come together and celebrate in style.”

All acts remain the same but for health and safety reasons we’re moving from Centre Square into the main hall, with food stalls, fashion and information stalls in the fire station and courtyard.

Go along for a FREE family fun filled day. Attractions include Live Entertainment, Fun Fair, Stalls and a Firework Finale!
