Growing community cohesion

by | Aug 3, 2020 | Charities, Community

Ubuntu Multicultural Centre CIC in Middlesbrough aims to empower communities and promote social cohesion.

Although lockdown delayed their official launch, they have spent the last few months delivering food parcels to those in need – especially to people in our BAME communities who might struggle to find support through other channels.

John and Irene Kabuye have been sending out 75 parcels a week. All the fresh fruit and vegetables come from their allotment, which is also accessible to the community!
